Our History

1949

Archie “Red” Emmerson and his father lease their first sawmill in California. A family tradition of hard work, quality, and respect for the forest begins.

1969

Sierra Pacific Industries is officially incorporated. The company expands its land, mills, and vision, creating a foundation of vertical integration from forest to factory.

1984

Sierra Pacific enters the window and door business, combining advanced manufacturing with a heritage of sustainable forestry.

1992

Growth continues with new millwork facilities and investments in advanced technology that improve efficiency, performance, and quality.

2013

Sierra Pacific Windows becomes a nationwide brand. Our products are trusted in more than 30 countries, supported by 600 dealers and distributors, and installed by Select Remodelers across North America.

The Sierra Pacific Foundation was established in 1979 by our founder’s family to support education and community growth. Since then, the Foundation has awarded more than $10.5 million in scholarships to children of Sierra Pacific employees and has supported youth programs and local organizations in the communities where we work.
